The REpack Freezer Bag Cook System, like most Hyperlite Mountain Gear products, offers you an opportunity to simplify and lighten your load. Repackaging dehydrated food into freezer bags is a great way to decrease pack weight, and the amount of space food packets take up. It’s also a chance to modify meals or make your own.
Place the repackaged food bag in the pouch. Add hot water to the meal and take care of other business around camp. REpack serves to keep food warm longer while it rehydrates.

Love my repack. It is the perfect size for repackaged dehydrated meals. The quart size freezer bags fit just right. Plus the repack is like a potholder for your hand while holding the meal as it is rehydrating. It’s a winner!
I LOVE the REpack. I have been using the REpack for several years... I accidently got it too close to a campfire and melted the one I had so I had to order another one!... these are the BEST ever. It decreases the volume of garbage you have by repackaging store bought dehydrated meals into Freezer Ziplock bags OR just creating your own means in the Freezer Ziplock bags !
It seems to hydrate my food better and it stays warm longer.
Works well however wish it was a little larger.
This thing is great! Just finished using it for a Colorado Trail thru-hike and was very pleased by its usefulness. It’s ultralight and would easily stash in my food bag when not in use. Its most impactful benefit was helping me save both weight and volume by repacking freeze dried/dehydrated meals into quart size ziplock freezer bags and protected/warmed them as they rehydrated. Highly recommend adding to your backpacking kit.
